About Mata Cinta

Mata Cinta began in 2016 as a simple idea to raise funds for GEMASS Indonesia (Gerakan Makan Sehat Anak Sekolah - Healthy School Meals Movement). We produce eco starter kits, educational kits and an e-magazine for beginners starting an environmentally friendly lifestyle. 

We believe that health and the environment are inseparable. We also noticed how women and mothers play meaningful roles in choosing the right consumer products that impact health and environmental sustainability.

That led us to begin advocacy work through workshops, talk shows, seminars, discussions and book/e-book publishing about health and the environment for the young generation and mothers.

As part of our cause, we are working on a pilot project for Pulau Harapan, Kepulauan Seribu, Indonesia, together with GEMASS Indonesia, to initiate collaborations to find a holistic solution for the problem of marine trash faced by small islands in Indonesia that impacts the lives of children.

We also find it important to educate the young generation on science to create a strong citizen science. We do it through running monthly webinars with LIPI (Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia - Indonesian Science Institute), beginning in February 2021.

The number of children who love this Earth determines the future sustainability of the world.
